
Darren Clegg
Head of Commercial (Consultant Solicitor)
Darren has been a property litigator specialising in commercial & residential property dispute resolution for almost 25 years, most of which have been spent working in Birmingham. During his time in practice Darren has worked for Martineau Johnson (now Shakespeare Martineau), Wragge & Co (now Gowling WLG) and as a partner at national law firm Shoosmiths.
Darren is experienced in advising on all aspects of property management and commercial debt recovery involving land and tenant insolvency. He enjoys acting as advocate in all types of interlocutory hearings in the County Court and High Court.
Darren also has direct experience of business having served as a non-executive director of a property development company specialising in building medical centres and as an investor and non-executive director in a fleet management start up. Darren personally oversaw the development of a £4 million new multi-sports facility at Sandon Road, Edgbaston, learning much in the process.
Away from the office, Darren is a founding Trustee of Avery Fields Community Sports Trust, a Charity promoting sport and recreation (especially Rugby Union football) in the West Midlands area. Darren is passionate about rugby, serving as Hon. Secretary of Bournville Rugby Football Club for more years than he cares to recall.
Darren has a degree in Law & Politics from Keele University and undertook his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester.
